19 placers, 4 champs for #14 UIndy Wrestling at Indiana Little State – UIndy Athletics,

CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN- Four Greyhounds took bracket titles for #14 UIndy at Indiana Little State at Wabash Saturday. Ray Rioux (141), #8 Logan Bailey (149), #12 Jack Eitlejorge (165), and #6 Andrew Sams (174) all earned championships on the day, while 19 total Greyhounds placed at the event.

In addition to the bracket winners, Greyhounds Chase Wilkerson (133) and Nathan Conley (157), finished runner-up in their respective brackets, while Sam Morrill (unattached – 184), Jackson Hoover (149), and Owen Zablocki (157) all took third place honors. Hunter Cottingham (141), Wade Monebrake (157), Derek Blubaugh (197) and Phoenix Rodgers (197) all took fourth place finishes, Noah Cantu (125) and Kyle Saez (174) were fifth in their weight classes, with Blaze Lowery (165) and Tyler Conley (unattached – 149) finishing sixth on the day. Cale Gray (285) rounded out the UIndy placers with a seventh place finish.

Freshman Rioux went 4-0 on the day en route to his bracket title. Meanwhile, Bailey went 5-0 on the day pinning his way to the finals, with his fastest pin coming in just 19 seconds in his first match of the day. Eitlejorge also went 5-0 to win the 165 weight class, sealing the bracket win with an 8-5 defeat of Marian’s Elliot Rodgers. Rounding out the bracket winners was Sams with a win in SV-1, 6-4, over Raymond Arebalo.

UIndy will be back in action Dec. 18-19, hosting the 42nd annual Midwest Classic. The event will feature 45 NCAA Division II teams from across the country.
