Dave Meltzer Predicts 2024 WWE Survivor Series WarGames Match
For the third consecutive year, WarGames will return to WWE Survivor Series, scheduled for November 30 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Reintroduced in 2017 as an NXT-exclusive match, the double-ring steel cage battle has become a main roster staple since Triple H took over WWE’s creative direction in 2022.
In 2022, the men’s WarGames match featured The Bloodline defeating Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, and The Brawling Brutes. The 2023 match saw The Judgment Day and McIntyre defeated by Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and a returning Randy Orton, with CM Punk’s return following the match. For the 2024 men’s match, Dave Meltzer predicted on an episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio” that it could feature an all-Bloodline confrontation: “Survivor Series in Vancouver; I think it’s going to be Bloodline/Bloodline.”
This potential Bloodline civil war will likely differ from the 2023 conflict, where Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa faced The Usos at Money in the Bank in London. Currently, Sikoa is supported by former Guerrillas of Destiny members Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga, along with Jacob Fatu. Reigns, who returned at SummerSlam to assist Cody Rhodes against Sikoa and his allies, has also been backed by The Rock in 2024. Reigns is set to team with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood on October 5, facing Sikoa and Fatu, possibly setting the stage for WarGames.
