Bully Ray Believes This WWE Star Would Excel in a Heel Turn

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray is well-acquainted with playing the role of a heel. After moving beyond his early stuttering gimmick, ECW owner Paul Heyman gave the Queens, New York native free rein to verbally tear into audiences, often coming close to inciting riots.

During a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio,” Bully Ray shared his thoughts on which WWE talent would benefit most from a heel turn, naming one of the roster’s longest-serving members.

“I want to see a real Nattie Neidhart heel run,” Bully stated. “With all the young women in WWE and Nattie being the ‘elder statesman,’ she could stir things up incredibly well.”

Natalya recently returned on the September 9 episode of “WWE Raw” after a three-month hiatus, teaming up with Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega to take on the Pure Fusion Collective. The hometown Calgary crowd gave her a warm reception, but Bully speculated that Nattie could shine in a new, darker role.

“I get it: Nattie comes out, everyone cheers, ‘Yay Nattie!’ But where are we going? Where’s the depth to her character right now?” Bully questioned. “I think Nattie would love a character change, fully embrace a heel turn, and thrive in it. I believe she’d absolutely knock it out of the park.”
