With social media and the internet making wrestling news more accessible than ever, fans often get a behind-the-scenes look that wasn’t possible before. Recently, a photo of several WWE Superstars at ringside before an episode of “WWE Raw” surfaced online, sparking a lot of discussion. The picture shows the wrestlers preparing and discussing what will happen on that night’s show, breaking the illusion of real conflict that wrestling tries to maintain.
While kayfabe—the presentation of wrestling as real—is not taken as seriously these days, AEW commentator Jim Ross believes such leaks can still harm the business. Speaking on his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross didn’t hold back his thoughts on the incident, calling out the person responsible for the leak.
“Somebody’s a chicken s**t, quite frankly,” Ross stated bluntly. “It’s just unprofessional and doesn’t belong in this business. Whoever did it should be fired, plain and simple. No need for HR—just say, ‘We’re done. You broke an important rule.’ That picture reveals a lot. You see all the talents hanging around, which is typical as they run through their routines, talk, and get their timing right. But it’s not something I like to see.”
The photo showed Gunther and Randy Orton, who were supposed to be rivals, casually chatting, The Wyatt Six sitting in the front row out of character, and Triple H talking to Drew McIntyre near the entrance ramp.
