“I hope they bring back the mentality of ‘Anything can happen at any given time,'” Bully said. “Nobody in Ontario expected to see that title change last night, but it happened. I want to walk into Raw, SmackDown, NXT, or Dynamite—really, any wrestling show—without knowing when a championship might change hands.”
Reflecting on Roman Reigns’ lengthy run as WWE Champion, Bully acknowledged the advantages of having a dominant champion. However, he cautioned that if all title reigns are treated as dominant, it diminishes their significance.
Bully proposed that WWE consider introducing a television championship, one that would be defended weekly on Raw or SmackDown. These matches could be shorter and allow for more frequent title changes, placing a greater emphasis on in-ring action rather than lengthy storylines.
“Fans love witnessing a championship change hands right before their eyes because it doesn’t happen often,” Bully explained. “I’d like to see it occur more frequently, and I believe a workhorse television championship in WWE could be the perfect way to achieve that.”
