With Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson watching closely from ringside, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill successfully defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Kairi Sane and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL on “WWE Raw.” With a bit of outside help from the NXT duo, the champions walked away with their titles intact.
The match began with Cargill and SKY squaring off, followed by Belair tagging in to double-team SKY and isolate her. Sane soon entered the fray, and Damage CTRL responded in kind by double-teaming Belair. Sane showcased her athleticism by delivering a flying crossbody to Belair on the outside. However, Cargill turned the momentum with a backbreaker and powerbomb on Sane.
Damage CTRL regrouped and double-teamed Belair once more, with Sane hitting an elbow drop. SKY then set up for her Over The Moonsault, but Belair rolled out of the ring to assist Cargill, shoving Sane into the barricade to regain control.
While outside the ring, the champions got into a heated exchange with Legend and Jackson, which gave SKY an opening. But the NXT duo interfered, with Jackson pulling SKY’s hair and Legend landing a punch while the referee was distracted. Back in the ring, Belair hit her signature K.O.D. on SKY, securing the victory and retaining the titles.
The finish hints at further involvement from Legend and Jackson, potentially setting up a feud with Damage CTRL. Their presence comes after a disappointing loss in their own tag title pursuit on Friday’s WWE SmackDown, a match briefly disrupted by Kevin Owens.
