Fans worldwide are still reacting to All Out 2024, which many consider one of the most brutal pay-per-views in AEW’s brief history. While All In at Wembley Stadium focused on celebration, All Out showcased intense violence and animosity. The Chicago crowd witnessed Daniel Garcia’s attempt to incapacitate MJF, Bryan Danielson being suffocated with a plastic bag by Jon Moxley, and a particularly extreme main event between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page.
In the post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the origins of some of the most extreme moments on the show and how the company determines the boundaries for hardcore spots.
“I believe the company has improved significantly in this area,” Khan said. “We have the most knowledgeable pro wrestlers, coaches, and an increasingly talented roster. With more great people backstage, a lot of thought went into tonight’s show. You saw some of the best professional wrestlers in the world display a range of innovative and intense matches.”
Khan expressed satisfaction with the show, describing it as an ambitious and special event. He noted that the varied matches and finishes were made possible by the roster, backstage staff, and the enthusiastic fans in attendance.
