AEW Double Or Nothing Results: Hikaru Shida vs. Dr. Britt Baker


The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the AEW Double or Nothing PPV event:

AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Dr. Britt Baker

They did some technical wrestling in the early going. Shida hit a drop kick, sending her to the floor. Baker caught her with a big knee strike then put on her black glove, but Shida avoided the submission hold. Shida fought back and beat her down with some strikes. Baker went for a stomp, but Shida blocked it. Baker went for the locked jaw submission, but Shida rolled through. Shida with a german suplex then a forearm shot for a near fall.

Shida went for a submission hold but Reba distracted her. Reba accidentally hit Baker with the crutch and Shida pinned her for a near fall. Shida with the falcon arrow for 2.  Baker hit Shida with the belt then a curbstomp on it while the referee was distracted. Shida with a running knee strike for 2. Baker with the locked jaw submission finisher for the win. 

Winner: Britt Baker – NEW Champion
