As we reported earlier this week here on eWn, WWE has rehired John Laurinaitis, as he’s back in his role of head of talent relations. His official title is “General Manager of Talent” and was created specifically for him.
In recent months, the talent relations department was split into two categories – talent management and talent branding. WWE is eventually going to hire someone for head of talent branding and their job will be to book WWE talent for outside appearances and third party engagements.
Mark Carrano will remain in place, but will now be reporting to Laurinaitis. One source said Carrano will still be the one who “gets the heat” when bad news has to be delivered to talent.
