As we reported last night here on eWn, the Roman Reigns vs. Rey Mysterio Hell in a Cell match that was originally planned for Sunday’s pay-per-view event will now take place on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. There has been a lot of speculation on what led to WWE’s decision to move the match.
According to a report from Fightful, multiple sources have confirmed that Reigns vs. Mysterio was set to be a “straight up, no frills, no goofy finish” match. As of this morning, there were no plans in place to “run it back” on Sunday.
As noted earlier, Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn was pitched to be added to the Hell in a Cell PPV and it was said to have been set in stone just last night but those plans reportedly changed earlier today.
Also, the red Hell in a Cell structure is currently set up inside the WWE ThunderDome.
