As the debut of WWE Raw on Netflix approaches, one WWE legend will not be part of the show. Randy Orton, who was taken out by Kevin Owens with a piledriver on the November episode of WWE SmackDown, is not scheduled to appear on the debut episode. This came after the two were involved in a brawl that prevented their planned match at Crown Jewel. According to Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda on X, Orton is not currently on the lineup for the January 6 debut of Raw on Netflix.
“I’ve had a lot of people ask about Randy Orton’s status for January 6,” Featherstone wrote. “I’ve been informed that he is not scheduled to be part of the debut episode of #WWERaw on Netflix.”
Orton and Owens were originally slated to clash in Saudi Arabia as part of a growing feud, with Owens believing Orton was siding with his rival, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Instead of their scheduled match, the two brawled around the arena, culminating in Owens delivering an elbow drop from a guardrail onto Orton. On the following SmackDown, Owens hit a banned move on Orton, resulting in “The Viper” being stretchered out. Since then, Orton has not returned to WWE television. Owens later attacked Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event with a package piledriver, leaving Rhodes injured and stretchered out as well. With both Orton and Rhodes out of the picture, Owens seized the Winged Eagle Championship, declaring himself the “real” WWE Champion.
