Booker T Praises Bobby “The Brain” Heenan’s Multifaceted Talent in Wrestling

WWE legend Booker T has expressed his admiration for the late Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, highlighting his incredible managerial skills and discussing his courageous battle with cancer.

Heenan is widely regarded as one of the greatest on-screen personalities in professional wrestling history. He managed iconic figures like Andre the Giant and Big John Studd and was celebrated as one of the most entertaining color commentators of all time, all while boasting over 20 years of in-ring experience. On his “Hall of Fame” show, Booker T shared his appreciation for Heenan’s versatility in various roles and reflected on the profound loss the wrestling world experienced when Heenan passed away too soon.

“Bobby was incredibly versatile. He could do anything—even step into the ring and wrestle if you needed him to. He was truly a jack of all trades in this business, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. We definitely lost Bobby way too early, man… way too early,” Booker T said. “I had the chance to witness Bobby throughout his life. He faced his battle with cancer head-on; he didn’t run or hide from it.”

Booker T went on to emphasize Heenan’s significant impact on the wrestling industry, stating that the legendary manager ranks at the top of his list of the best professional wrestling managers of all time. Heenan passed away in 2017 at the age of 72 due to throat cancer, which had been in remission since 2004.
