Britt Baker Attributes Her Success to Tony Khan

Britt Baker has been a staple of the AEW women’s division since the beginning of the company. She was the first female wrestler signed to the company, wrestled on the second episode of AEW Dynamite, and is now the AEW Women’s World Champion.

Now, in a recent interview with the Daily Star Online, she has attributed AEW President Tony Khan as one of the key reasons she has grown as a performer.

Baker had this to say on the progression of AEW’s women’s division from their first show:

“I would say that our women’s division was the least experienced with television wrestling. I came in and was pushed as one of the top girls, I’d never wrestled a match on live T.V, I had no idea what a hard cam was and had never cut a live promo. That really speaks to the support we had backstage and the mentors we had helping us. Tony Khan, from day one, saw something in me and never gave up on me. When you hear that from your boss… you can’t help but believe in yourself, and I attribute all my success as a heel to him having really good faith in me.”

Britt Baker is set to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship next Wednesday against Nyla Rose, at Fyter Fest Night 2.
