Buddy Matthews Apologizes For Offending Fans With His ‘Freedom’ Tweet

Former WWE Superstar Buddy Matthews saw his non-compete clause with WWE come to an end yesterday. To celebrate, he took to Twitter and said “It’s here #freeagent”. In the post, he attached a photo of cuffed hands breaking through some chains. Many fans criticized him over the photo and claimed he was comparing his situation with slavery.

Murphy has since apologized, saying,

“My apologies for the tweet I posted earlier today if it offended you. It wasn’t my intention AT ALL! And FAR from what I intended it to mean! deleted the the tweet. Once again. My apologies!”
