AEW has been busy with recent events like All In and All Out, and the schedule remains packed with WrestleDream, Full Gear, and Worlds End approaching, along with “AEW Dynamite” hosting Grand Slam, Fifth Anniversary, and Title Tuesday specials. The company is focused on building stars for these significant shows.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes AEW is setting up a major push for Daniel Garcia, who recently lost to MJF at All Out. Ray discussed this potential on “Busted Open After Dark.”
“They’re clearly preparing Garcia for something big. What that is, I’m not sure,” Ray remarked.
Ray suggested that Garcia should eventually defeat MJF to solidify his position on the card. He also mentioned that such a victory would allow MJF to demonstrate his skills as a heel, noting that top heels are adept at regaining their heat.
“A great heel can lose every night but as long as they get their heat back, they’ll maintain their impact,” Ray explained. “It’s crucial for a heel to recover their heat to stay relevant.”
Garcia was initially expected to win at All Out, but due to his contract situation with AEW, MJF’s victory served as a precaution.
