Fans of longtime WWE star R-Truth were left heartbroken when The Miz turned heel, attacking his former partner after a hot tag during a match on “WWE Raw.” The duo had been teaming for months and even secured the World Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40. However, a cunning Karrion Kross managed to manipulate The Miz, leading to the shocking turn during a match against the Authors of Pain.
While The Miz has played both babyface and heel roles throughout his WWE career, Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes this latest heel turn isn’t intended to support R-Truth. On “Busted Open Radio,” Bully Ray suggested that the turn is actually meant to elevate someone else—specifically, Bron Breakker, who turned babyface on the same show.
“It’s just a question of what level of heel they will allow The Miz to be at this stage of his career,” he explained. “Will he be a heel who can be propelled back into the main event scene, or will he remain a mid-card heel, working with Truth and other up-and-coming babyfaces that they need to elevate? It seems like they’re testing the waters with Bron Breakker’s babyface turn. We saw him in a face-to-face segment with GUNTHER last night. The Miz is a great heel for someone like Bron Breakker to work with.”
