Cody Rhodes Reportedly Returning To AEW This Month

Cody Rhodes has been absent from AEW television since the August 4th edition of AEW Dynamite. During the episode, Rhodes was defeated in quick fashion by Malakai Black in the main event of the show. He would then begin to take off his boots seemingly teasing his retirement before Black would attack him again. Commentary would also imply that Black may have retired Cody, and Rhodes has remained off AEW TV in the time since.

However, a new report from Cassidy Haynes of has offered a potential update on when Rhodes could be making his return to the company. According to the sources, Rhodes is set to make his return to AEW television “within the month”. Not only that, but the report also states that there are “big plans for him upon his return”.

It was believed at the time that the departure of Rhodes was so he could resume his role as a judge on TBS’ Go-Big Show.
