Erik & Ivar Return to WWE Raw as The War Raiders, Advance in Tag Tournament

Erik and Ivar, collectively known as The War Raiders, made a triumphant comeback from injury on “WWE Raw” this Monday, defeating Alpha Academy’s Otis and Akira Tozawa to progress in the newly announced tournament for the World Tag Team Championships. Earlier in the night, “Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce had revealed the tournament to champions JD McDonagh and Finn Balor. This victory marked the War Raiders’ first win together since September 2023, following weeks of video teasers featuring the runic alphabet that hinted at their return.

The match began with Otis facing Ivar, but Tozawa soon tagged in. Erik quickly took control by slamming Ivar onto Tozawa, allowing the returning duo to dominate the early exchanges. Erik and Ivar systematically sent Tozawa into each other’s knees, maintaining the advantage.

Otis tried to shift the momentum back in his team’s favor but was interrupted by Ivar during his caterpillar attempt. Tozawa then attempted a missile dropkick, but Ivar caught him mid-air. The War Raiders executed their new finishing move, with Erik launching Tozawa into the path of Ivar’s splash from the top rope, securing the victory.

As of this writing, the tournament bracket has yet to be revealed, but the War Raiders are set to continue their quest for the World Tag Team Championships.
