Jack Perry Successfully Defends TNT Title Against Christopher Daniels on AEW Collision
Jack Perry made another successful defense of his TNT Championship on this week’s “AEW Collision.” In a matchup tied to ongoing conflicts between The Elite and “interim EVP” Christopher Daniels, Daniels challenged Perry to a title bout. This was Daniels’ first championship match in AEW since May 2021, when he contested The Young Bucks for the tag titles alongside Frankie Kazarian. It also marked Daniels’ first match since teaming with Matt Sydal to face The Bucks in May, but like his previous bouts, Daniels was defeated by Perry via pinfall after approximately five minutes.
This defense marked Perry’s fourth successful title retention of his current TNT Championship reign, which began at Forbidden Door in June. It was also his second title defense following an unsuccessful challenge against Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship at All Out last weekend. After the match, Perry quickly left the venue and drove away in his signature “Scapegoat” van.
