AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is reportedly dealing with a series of painful injuries. Omega, who also holds the Impact Wrestling World Championship and the AAA Mega Championship, has apparently been struggling with these injuries for some time now.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“Omega is hurting pretty badly between slicing up his hand and needing seven stitches when he delivered the fourth belt shot on Pac in the three-way (the one with the AEW belt which is especially sharp), a deep bone bruise near his tailbone, the normal wear and tear on his knees and an athletic hernia. He was also suffering from a stomach virus this past week. But he’s definitely in a lot of pain getting through the recent big matches.”
Kenny Omega vs Moose is set to be the main event of this Saturday’s Impact PPV Against All Odds, where the former will defend his Impact World Championship. The match is set to air from Daily’s Place, home of AEW.
Despite Omega’s injuries, the quality of the bout will no doubt be high, with Omega already putting on an exceptional world title match in Impact against Rich Swann.
