Shannon Spruill aka Daffney passed away earlier this week. She took her own life at the age of 46 years old.
TMZ got the police report and noted that she died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police checked out her home for a welfare check, but she wasn’t home. They came back a few hours later to find her car nearby. They got the fire department to breach the door where they found her laying on a bed with a gun nearby.
She first made a name for herself while in WCW by playing the role of the girlfriend of David Flair and the manager of Crowbar.
She later signed with TNA Wrestling in 2008 where she played the role of the Sarah Palin parody character The Governor and later the Daffney role.
While in TNA, she suffered several concussions and later issued a lawsuit against the company that was settled out of court in 2013.
