Roxanne Perez Retains WWE NXT Women’s Title Thanks to New Ally

Roxanne Perez successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia during the debut of “WWE NXT” on The CW, aided by a surprise return from Cora Jade. Jade, who had been sidelined since January due to a torn ACL, made her comeback during the opening match of the show, delivering a DDT to Giulia outside the ring, which helped secure Perez’s victory.

The match began with Perez and Giulia locking up, exchanging pinfalls as the action heated up. Giulia gained the upper hand, punishing Perez against the ropes before Perez fought back, sending Giulia outside the ring with a high-flying dive. Back in the ring, Perez attempted to climb to the top rope, but Giulia intercepted her with a suplex, transitioning into a bridge that Perez narrowly escaped.

As the two competitors continued to trade blows, Perez applied a crossface, but Giulia managed to reach the ropes for a break. Giulia countered Perez’s Pop Rox finisher with a knee strike, but Perez kicked out once more. She finally connected with her signature move again, but Giulia rolled outside the ring to evade the pin. The two women brawled outside until they both barely returned to the ring before the referee’s count reached ten.

In a pivotal moment, Perez slipped outside to grab her championship. While the referee was distracted, Jade, disguised in a hoodie, attacked Giulia before rolling her back into the ring. Perez seized the opportunity, hitting a second Pop Rox for the pinfall victory. Jade then revealed herself by unmasking, surprising Perez and celebrating their triumphant moment together.
