Shawn Michaels Reveals New WWE NXT Title Belts on CW Premiere

As “WWE NXT” made its debut on the CW Network, reports hinted at several changes to the show’s presentation. The first noticeable alteration was the brand’s logo, which shifted from a white and gold color scheme to a striking silver and black. At the beginning of the broadcast, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, unveiled the revamped NXT and NXT Women’s Championships.

Beneath a black sheet, the newly designed titles were revealed. “You know we can’t have a new NXT on a new network without new championship titles,” Michaels proclaimed as he unveiled the belts. The previous versions of the NXT and NXT Women’s Championships featured a prominent “X” in the center, while the new titles prominently display the “NXT” lettering.

Currently, Roxanne Perez holds the NXT Women’s Championship after defeating Giulia in the opening match, and Ethan Page is the reigning NXT Champion. Page is set to defend his title against Trick Williams later in the night, with CM Punk serving as the special guest referee.

After introducing the new championship belts, Michaels energized the Chicago crowd, preparing to pose a signature question. Before he could finish, his D-Generation X ally, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, jumped in with the classic inquiry — “Are you ready?” The segment concluded with Michaels and Levesque asking the question together, accompanied by the roaring cheers of the Allstate Arena audience.
