Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics is reporting that AEW Full Gear 2021 is currently projected to become AEW’s second-highest grossing pay-per-view event of all time. The early estimates are that the show drew 145,000 pay-per-view buys.
The early buyrate estimates are based on all pay-per-view buys, including worldwide, traditional, digital, live, or event replays. It should be noted that cable and satellite providers take a bit longer to report their numbers.
AEW Full Gear 2021 generated an estimated $4 million for AEW. This includes ticket and merchandise sales. September’s All Out 2021 pay-per-view event in Chicago, IL generated more than $5 million in revenue and drew an estimated 205,000 pay-per-view buys. That show featured the debuts of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson.
