Title Unification Match Expected For NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

NXT UK Superstar Jordan Devlin is headed back to NXT on next week’s show. In a pre-recorded segment, Devlin is show at the airport where mentions TakeOver: Stand & Deliver’s two-night event and revealing that his travel ban has been lifted. Devlin said he’s coming to NXT next week to go after current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar.

Later on in the show, Escobar talks to William Regal and said he was unhappy with Devlin’s announcement. Devlin declared he is the true Cruiserweight Champion and not Escobar. Having said that, it seems as though a title unification match will take place between Escobar and Devlin for TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

As you may recall, Devlin won the title back at WWE Worlds Collide in January 2020, but was stripped of the title months later as he was unable to defend the championship due to the pandemic and the travel ban put in place between the United States and the UK. Therefore, Escobar won an 8-man single elimination tournament to become the new champion in June 2020.

Stay tuned for more on the Devlin vs. Escobar feud. Below are a few shots from tonight’s segments on NXT, along with video of Devlin:
