Tony Khan Comments On AEW’s Upcoming Debut In New York City, & More

During a recent interview with The New York Daily News, AEW President Tony Khan commented on AEW’s official debut in New York City, the accountability he feels toward the fans, and more. You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On AEW’s NYC debut: “No city is more synonymous with wrestling than New York City. AEW is a new company and our company is in the business of both embracing tradition and trailblazing, trying to start new traditions and new history.”

On the accountability he feels towards the fans: “I feel a great accountability to the audience. I always have stayed in touch with the internet wrestling community (IWC). I had to gauge what they like and what they don’t like. That’s how I came into wrestling. I was part of the original IWC back in the days of dial-up. My teenage years, from age 12 through my teens and into college, was trading VHS tapes and writing reviews and writing wrestling shows. Writing ‘Dynamite.’ I’ve been writing ‘Dynamite’ since I was 12 years old.”
