This week marks the conclusion of “WWE NXT”‘s five-year run on the USA Network. The brand will debut on broadcast television on The CW starting October 1, and WWE is reflecting on its time on USA.
WWE’s official YouTube channel paid tribute to the past five years of “NXT” on USA. The video was featured on the show after the “NXT” broadcast team thanked the USA Network for their support over the last half-decade.
The retrospective video spans from NXT’s black and gold era in the late 2010s through the challenges of the pandemic and into the current “NXT 2.0” era and beyond. It highlights former NXT stars like Damien Priest, Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and notable appearances by talents like Keith Lee. The montage also recalls memorable celebrity appearances including Wale, Sexyy Red, and Pat McAfee.
“NXT” is hitting the road for the next two weeks to celebrate its move to The CW. The October 1 event will be in Chicago, IL, featuring CM Punk as a special guest referee for an NXT Title match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. On October 8 in St. Louis, MO, Randy Orton will make his NXT debut against Je’Von Evans. Main roster star The Miz will also make appearances during the festivities, alongside former WWE Tag Team Champions Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
