Rhea Ripley successfully defended her WWE Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 but was forced to vacate the title just days later due to a right arm injury sustained in a backstage segment with Liv Morgan. During Ripley’s absence, Lynch captured the championship in a Battle Royal, only for Morgan to defeat “Big Time Becks” at King and Queen of the Ring, reclaiming her spot as a two-time women’s champion.
Since then, Morgan has been focused on separating Dominik Mysterio and the Judgment Day faction from Ripley, as well as reclaiming her title. However, this Saturday at Bad Blood, “Mami” has another chance to win back the championship she never lost. WWE legend Mark Henry believes Ripley should come out on top and is actively hoping for that outcome.
“If she wins, I’ll be happy because it means the story isn’t over, and Dom and Liv will continue to cause her trouble, giving us more of that saga. So, yeah, I’m actually praying that Rhea wins,” he shared on “Busted Open Radio.”
This Saturday’s match will mark the fifth encounter between Ripley and Morgan on the main roster, with Ripley aiming for her third WWE women’s world title. Their last clash took place this past August at SummerSlam, where Morgan triumphed over Ripley with assistance from “Dirty Dom.”
