WWE returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the second time this year, hosting the Crown Jewel premium live event in Riyadh. This show stands out with an exciting seven-match lineup, featuring high-stakes title clashes and intense non-title bouts, including the crowning of WWE’s first-ever Crown Jewel Champions.
Headlining the non-title matches are two major singles contests and a six-man tag with serious implications for The Bloodline’s future. First up, Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed will finally face off in a highly anticipated singles match. Reed previously sidelined Rollins with a series of Tsunami splashes, prompting Rollins to retaliate by costing Reed a Last Man Standing match. The two are now set to settle their score at Crown Jewel.
In another singles bout, Kevin Owens goes one-on-one with “The Viper” Randy Orton. Owens turned on Orton and Cody Rhodes just weeks ago in a series of brutal attacks, showing his dissatisfaction with Rhodes’ temporary alliance with Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood. Orton, who seemed to accept Rhodes’ decision, now steps up to take on Owens.
Meanwhile, Reigns finds himself in six-man tag action as he joins Jimmy and Jey Uso to face off against the new Bloodline faction, led by Solo Sikoa. Representing Sikoa’s group will be three of the following members: Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, with the official lineup still unconfirmed.
For the main championship event, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER will clash in a historic match to determine the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Champion. In a similar match for the women’s division, WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will take on WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, with the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship up for grabs.
Completing the Crown Jewel card are two multi-person title bouts. First, United States Champion LA Knight will defend his title in a Triple Threat match against Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. In the women’s tag division, champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will defend their titles against three teams: Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Kairi Sane), Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, and Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend from WWE NXT, who will make their main roster PLE debut in this match.
