WWE Hall of Famer Booker T Evaluates Cody Rhodes’ WWE Title Reign
At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes completed his “story” by defeating Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Since then, Rhodes has been engaged in several feuds. However, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T questions whether Rhodes’ reign compares to that of his predecessor, the “Original Tribal Chief.” Rhodes successfully defended his title against Solo Sikoa on “WWE SmackDown” last night, but Booker T had reservations about the outcome going into the match.
On his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T shared his thoughts: “Cody’s on an incredible run, but I think his run will end when the time is right. From a storytelling perspective, I’m not sure if that time is now.” He mentioned that many see Sikoa as a potential future star in WWE and wondered if the rising talent, supported by The Bloodline, could potentially take the title.
Not everyone shares Booker T’s positive view of Rhodes’ championship run. On “Busted Open Radio,” Bully Ray criticized the lack of a significant rival for Rhodes. He highlighted The Rock as a major antagonist to Rhodes, even though the ultimate goal was a match against Reigns. Bully Ray believes that without a top-tier heel rival like The Rock, Rhodes’ title reign might continue to fall short of expectations.
