Before Jaida Parker challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, she had another chance to compete for a different “WWE NXT” title, the first of its kind, at “NXT” Battleground. In that event, Parker and five other women fought in a tough ladder match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. The match was particularly rough for Parker, who crashed into several ladders and was eventually pushed off one by “WWE SmackDown” star Michin. Because of this, Parker feels there’s still some unresolved beef between her and Michin.
“Even now, I believe she’s the reason I couldn’t climb the ladder [at Battleground]. We still have some issues to settle,” Parker said on “Under The Ring.” “But that ladder match was incredible, in the best way possible. The six of us in that match made history. Kelani Jordan won it, and she deserved it, but we all made history because it was the first Women’s North American Title in NXT and WWE.”
After that intense ladder match, Parker faced another hardcore challenge—a Street Fight against Michin less than a month later. Reflecting on their Street Fight, Parker admitted that Michin gave her a serious “butt whooping,” but Parker ultimately came out on top with a hip attack.
“[Michin] is an amazing competitor, and I’m glad we had that street fight because it brought out something fierce in me. She brought the beast out of Jaida Parker, and I respect her for that,” Parker shared.
