Before challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, Jaida Parker had the chance to compete for the inaugural WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship at “NXT” Battleground. In this match, Parker and five other women fought in a demanding ladder match. Parker’s experience was notably harsh, with multiple collisions involving ladders and being pushed off one by WWE SmackDown star Michin. Parker feels there is unresolved tension between them.
“To this day, I believe she’s the reason I couldn’t climb the ladder at Battleground. Me and her still have some beef,” Parker told “Under The Ring.” “That ladder match was incredible, in the best way possible, as the six of us made history. Kelani Jordan won, and she deserved it, but we all made history with the first Women’s North American Title in NXT and WWE overall.”
Following the ladder match, Parker faced another intense challenge less than a month later—a Street Fight against Michin. Reflecting on their NXT Street Fight, Parker mentioned that Michin delivered a significant “butt whooping.” Ultimately, Parker won the match with a hip attack.
“[Michin] is a formidable competitor, but I’m glad we had that street fight because she brought out the best in me. She brought out the beast in Jaida Parker,” Parker said.
