The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver – Night 2 event:
WWE NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano vs. Bronson Reed
Reed started out hot as he dominated the early going. Gargano took over and started putting the kicks to the big man. Gargano went for an outside dive, but Reed caught him. Gargano sent Reed gut first into the corner of the announce table.
Reed went for a suplex, but Gargano caught him with a knee strike in the shoulder. Reed hit Razor’s Edge from the entrance ramp into the ring. Reed went for another suplex off the middle rope, but Gargano reversed it and hit a backbreaker. Moments later, Reed finally got a suplex.
Gargano missed a wild kick, but hit a reverse hurricanrana then put him in his submission hold. Reed missed a splash off the top rope and Gargano connected with a superkick. Reed caught a superkick and hit him with a clothesline then went to the top rope. Austin Theory distracted him and allowed Gargano to knock him down.
Reed blocked a move then hit a powerbomb for a near fall. Reed took out Theory with an outside dive. Reed connected with a powerslam for a near fall. Gargano with a series of superkicks, but Reed managed to fight back. However, Reed missed a moonsault off the top rope and then Gargano hit his finisher for the win.
