WWE RAW 12/2/2024: 3 Things We Hated And 3 Things We Loved

It sounds like you’re diving into the latest WWE Raw episode with a detailed mix of opinion and analysis. Here’s a refined breakdown of both the things you hated and loved:

3 Things We Hated

  1. The New Day Anniversary Segment
    • Okay, let’s talk about this, because it’s impossible not to. The 10-year anniversary celebration of The New Day felt bittersweet. While the trio’s accomplishments were lauded, it was hard not to feel like it fell short of what their legacy deserved. Maybe we were expecting a little more hype, or perhaps the timing just didn’t sit well with the fans, but it didn’t hit as emotionally as it should have for such a milestone. It’s hard not to feel like the segment was rushed, even when the moments were heartfelt.
  2. Seth Rollins’ Ever-Expanding Grudge
    • Seth Rollins’ continued beef with just about everyone on the roster—especially CM Punk and Roman Reigns—feels repetitive at this point. It’s almost as if Rollins is chasing after conflicts to stay relevant, but in doing so, he’s overcomplicating what could be simpler, more effective storytelling. Instead of new, exciting feuds, we’re stuck in the crossfire of years-old issues that are getting harder to care about.
  3. The Women’s Division’s Continued Struggles
    • Unfortunately, the women’s division on this episode felt underwhelming once again. Despite the talent on display, the booking seemed lackluster, with little story development or attention-grabbing moments. It’s a shame, especially when WWE has a real opportunity to elevate the women’s division, but it continues to play second fiddle in comparison to the men’s storylines.

3 Things We Loved

  1. The New Day’s Anniversary Moment (But with a Twist)
    • As much as we just ragged on it, let’s give credit where it’s due. The New Day’s anniversary segment did have its shining moments. It’s just that their history in WWE is SO significant that anything less than perfection feels like a missed opportunity. But the trio’s undeniable chemistry and the heartfelt nods to their legacy were still very much present, making this a moment to remember—even if it left us wanting a bit more.
  2. Drew McIntyre’s Fiery Entrance
    • McIntyre continues to bring that intensity and unpredictability that has been sorely lacking from Raw lately. His ongoing storyline with The Bloodline, particularly his ongoing feud with Roman Reigns, has been one of the most compelling aspects of the show. His appearance this week injected some much-needed energy, and it’s clear that McIntyre is ready for a major push.
  3. The Fiend Returns… Sort of
    • Whether it’s an actual return or just a tease, the moment where Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” made a dramatic appearance sent shivers down our spines. The surreal imagery and eerie vibe that Wyatt brings to the table are unmatched. There’s something about his dark, twisted storytelling that stands out in a sea of more conventional wrestling narratives.
