Backstage Report on Changes WWE Is Making to NXT Ahead of CW Premiere

In a recent interview with The Chicago Tribune, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels revealed that the “WWE NXT” brand will be undergoing several changes in its presentation as it transitions to the CW Network. Following this announcement, new reports have provided insights into one significant update: the logo that will accompany this new era of “NXT.”

According to Fightful Select, the new “NXT” logo is expected to be unveiled during tonight’s broadcast from Chicago. The updated logo will feature a black and silver color scheme and a more rectangular shape compared to the current version, which debuted in 2022. The existing “NXT” logo is predominantly white with a gold outline, while the logo from the “NXT 2.0” era showcased a multicolored design.

In addition to its CW Network premiere, tonight’s episode of “NXT” will mark the first of two broadcasts taking place on the road. After taking over the Allstate Arena in Chicago, the brand will head to The Factory At The District in St. Louis, Missouri, where STL native Randy Orton is scheduled to compete against “NXT” talent Je’Von Evans. Fightful previously reported that while “NXT” is on the road, the WWE Performance Center, typically used for “NXT” tapings, will be undergoing set updates.

Four matches have been confirmed for the October 1 episode of “NXT.” This includes an NXT Women’s Championship match between Giulia and Roxanne Perez. Additionally, CM Punk will serve as the special guest referee for the NXT Championship match featuring Ethan Page against Trick Williams. Friends-turned-rivals Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz are also set to face off in a Street Fight, while Jaida Parker and Lola Vice will attempt to work together against two members of Fatal Influence.
