Daniel Garcia Reflects on His AEW Career as Contract Uncertainty Continues
As 2024 progresses, Daniel Garcia’s time in AEW has been notable, with his contract status remaining uncertain. Garcia has emerged as one of AEW’s most popular young talents over the past year. In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Garcia discussed his desire to shift how he is perceived within the company.
“I feel like I was initially brought in to fulfill a specific role, mainly to be the guy who faces big names and loses to them,” Garcia explained. “When you’re seen in a particular way, it can be challenging to change that perception.”
Before AEW All Out, Garcia noted that fans are now starting to believe in him, even though he didn’t secure a win at the event. He attributed his progress to his hard work and the belief he’s garnered from AEW.
“Every opportunity given to me, I’ve aimed to excel, and I believe I’ve often exceeded expectations,” Garcia said. “I feel like I deserve these opportunities and am prepared for them.”
