WWE is preparing for “WWE NXT’s” transition to CW on October 1 and is set to feature several main roster stars for its debut show on the network, including a former WWE Champion.
The company announced via social media that The Miz will host a special edition of Miz TV for the October 1 episode of “WWE NXT.”
The event will be held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, with CM Punk, another former WWE Champion, also confirmed for the show. “WWE NXT” creative head Shawn Michaels recently mentioned that Punk will have a significant role in the event. It was also revealed on this week’s show that Punk will appear on next week’s “WWE NXT” to make an announcement about the October 1 event.
In addition to Punk and The Miz, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are scheduled to appear. Several matches have been confirmed: “WWE NXT” Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will defend her title against new WWE signee Giulia, “WWE NXT” Champion Ethan Page will face former champion Trick Williams, and Wes Lee will challenge Zachary Wentz to a street fight, continuing their ongoing feud.
