Jordynne Grace’s TNA Knockouts Championship match, which aired on Tuesday’s “WWE NXT,” saw Sol Ruca step up as the challenger. However, it was Wendy Choo and TNA’s Rosemary who made a significant impact, leading to a disqualification due to their interference. This match marked Grace’s 15th title defense overall and her first defense of the belt on “WWE NXT.”
Choo and Rosemary had recently formed an alliance, with Rosemary interfering in matches, including those involving Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan, at Choo’s request. A video vignette highlighting their alliance aired before the challenge, suggesting further developments.
The bout began with Ruca and Grace in a competitive exchange, including a moonsault by Ruca and a splash from the top rope. After a commercial break, both women continued their fierce contest, with Ruca hitting Grace with two springboards and a countered crossbody.
As Ruca attempted another top-rope maneuver, Grace shook the ropes, causing Ruca to fall. Grace then executed the SOS, but the lights in the Performance Center suddenly went out. When they came back on, Grace found herself face-to-face with Rosemary in the ring, while Choo applied a sleeper hold from behind. This caused Grace to pass out, resulting in the match being declared a No Contest.
